Contestants on Love Island this year are going to be wearing pre-loved clothing for the first time since the show began.
ITV have chosen to partner with eBay, in an attempt to push sustainability on Love Island.
Producers have chosen to ditch high-street retailers to make the show more friendly toward the environment. Islanders are going to have a shared wardrobe and this is going to be situated in the villa.
The aim is to try and extend the life cycle of clothes with the hopes that it will encourage viewers to make more sustainable choices with fashion.
Amy Bannerman, a celebrity stylist who has worked with Sophie Turner, Jonathan Van Ness and Rita Ora in the past, is going to style the Islanders entering the villa this year.
The move came after one out of five Brits admitted that they are now buying more second-hand clothing.

Those who are aged between 18 and 34 have the highest percentage of pre-loved clothes in their current wardrobe, standing at 22%.
The announcement from Love Island has since been met with a lot of praise, and Mike Spencer, who is the executive producer has said that he loves the idea of being more sustainable on the Love Island show.
Viewers are also going to be able to explore the Preloved Fashion section on eBay by browsing the Shop the Show tab on the Love Island App.
This gives access to Islanders directly through eBay’s social content. This is direct from the villa and it gives people the chance to pursue a more eco-friendly, fashionable lifestyle for themselves.
The show is certainly pushing a more sustainable angle this year, and it’s going to be interesting to see how things unfold when the villa’s doors finally open.
