The eighth series of the show is now airing on ITV2 with Islanders being in the villa, in Majorca. It has been confirmed that Love Island is coming back in the New Year.

There’s going to be a batch of new Islanders and they are going to be venturing to South Africa in an attempt to find love. The show is going to be running in the summer of 2023 as usual as well. The Islanders are going to be spending a total of 8 weeks in the Majorcan villa.

ITV once aired a winter version of the show in 2020. Islanders went to Cape Town in South Africa for this. Finley Tapp and Paige Turley won the show with them scooping over £50,000 in prize money.

The current series is airing on ITV Hub and ITV2. They now have five million viewers across every device, and this makes it one of the best launches for the show, since 2019.

Consolidated data has since gone to show that Love Island is now the biggest show of the year and that it is very popular amongst those aged between 16 and 34.

The show has also been able to produce a number of couples, with a total of four weddings and seven babies. The director and controller of ITV has come out with a statement, saying that Love Island has yet again, proven itself to be one of the favourite shows of the nation, and that it is a major talking point during the summer.

The talking point amongst the younger audience is incredible, so doing another show just made sense.
